1. Walk Around the Historic Plaza de Mayo

The Plaza de Mayo is a city square and the main foundational site of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It has been the scene of many of the most important events in the city’s history, from the second founding of the city in 1580, through the revolution of independence, to more recent political demonstrations. Dubbed by some as the world’s best cemetery, this famous attraction, the La Recoleta Cemetery is a cemetery located in the Recoleta neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was the city’s first official burial site built in 1822 with miniature sculptures that only come up to your shoulders. It contains the graves of notable people, including Eva Peron, presidents of Argentina, Nobel Prize winners, the founder of the Argentine Navy, and a granddaughter of Napolean. 4. Take a Day Tour to Tigre

It’s very easy, only costs around 6 pesos ($0.38 USD), and takes around an hour to travel. We recommend visiting on a Sunday, when you can check out the city’s Puerto de Frutos, a large market with crafts, foods, and handcrafted furniture. 5. Sunday Street Fair at Feria de San Telmo

This colourful crowded Sunday street fair - the Feria de San Telmo - draws over 12,000 people each week. There are tons of unique experiences and attractions from antiques, artwork, knick-knacks, and other treasures laid out along the pedestrian street of Defensa. It’s the perfect place to get an original souvenir that dates back to the golden age of Buenos Aires. We do advise you to keep a strong eye on your belongings as you wander the 270 stalls of this local bazaar.
