1. PYLON LOOKOUT

Pylon lookout is a hidden museum in the heart of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, that provides you with a 360 degrees view of Sydney Harbour. It has historical exhibits about the Sydney Harbour Bridge construction and for the fraction of the official Bridge Climb price, you can get the same views at Pylon, at $19! P.S. Did we mention it was kid-friendly? Take along your family for a fun visit to the museum.

2. OBSERVATORY HILL LOOKOUT

This popular location is another heritage site that is great to check out Sydney’s views. It is a popular spot for photography where you have the opportunity to take a cool long exposure shot or even just to watch the sunset. The main attraction here is the tour of the Observatory where admission is completely free. You can look through telescopes at night and view celestial patterns such as the southern cross.

3. ARCHIBALD FOUNTAIN

Located in Hyde Park North at the centre of ‘Birubi Circle’. It is an art decoration memorial fountain and historical spot. This memorial was created by a French sculptor, Francois Sicard to commemorate the association between Australia and France in World War I. It draws themes from Greek antiquity in which Sicard chose a mythical theme to express life through different figures depicted. In this park you will also see lots of Australian Ibis, most commonly called ‘bin chickens’.

4. ROYAL BOTANIC GARDEN

Stroll through the royal botanic gardens and have a picnic. These gardens showcase native flora and fauna wrapping around Sydney’s harbour. Visit the glasshouse, calyx and fernery in the 200 year old public gardens. They always have an event of exhibition ongoing so make sure you check out what's on to make sure you don't miss a thing!

Although not free to go outside, visiting the Sydney Opera House is an iconic photo spot that you can’t miss! Adjacent to the gardens, this performing arts centre is an architectural wonder. Learn about the history of it as you visit and even grab some ice-cream or a bite to eat from the nearby restaurants and cafes.

6. PANCAKES ON THE ROCKS

End off your journey with a lovely dining experience at Pancakes on the Rocks, one of Sydney’s most iconic American inspired restaurants, first established in 1975! Here you can find some of the best eats and we personally recommend getting the back ribs which are marinated in a sticky tangy barbeque sauce that pairs well with the tender ribs. Finish off with a Devil’s Delight, chocolate pancakes decorated with strawberries, chocolate ice cream and more chocolate drizzle on top.
